InnoPhyte Consulting is recruiting an experienced Strawberry Cultivation Expert on behalf of a start-up developing strawberry production in a total controlled environment agriculture (TCEA), or vertical farming, system in South India.
You’ll work alongside a local engineering team, with remote support from technical advisers, to establish consistent, high-quality strawberry production. This is a practical, crop-focused role covering day-to-day crop management, irrigation and fertigation, nutrient preparation, crop monitoring and plant health.
We’re looking for someone with at least five years of hands-on commercial strawberry-growing experience in a glasshouse, polytunnel or vertical farm. You’ll be confident mixing nutrient solutions, measuring pH and EC, recognising pests and diseases, and using crop and environmental data to inform growing decisions.
You’ll also need good spoken English, accurate record-keeping skills and a practical, collaborative approach to working with an international team.
Previous TCEA or vertical farming experience is not required. Experience with hydroponic or soilless strawberry production, integrated pest management or establishing a new growing site would be an advantage. Relevant qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
