Innovate UK is collaborating with the Growing Kent and Medway consortium to invest up to £750,000 in projects that develop and demonstrate new technologies within the horticultural food and drink supply chain, aiming to spur economic growth through innovation​​.

Portfolio Approach

  • The initiative seeks to support a variety of projects across different technologies, geographic sub-regions, and technological maturities with a focus on themes like net-zero carbon targets, waste minimisation, and productivity increases​​.

Research Categories

  • Funding is available for industrial research and experimental development projects​​.

Exclusions

  • Projects that are early-stage, do not demonstrate a positive local economic impact, or that focus on minimal innovation are not eligible for funding​​.
